The ceiling boards are no longer there and the general hygiene of these hostels is very poor. It isn't conducive.

The hostel is worth living in.

The entrance of these hostels was not constructed for students or visitors with wheelchairs. This is very important because amputees may not gain access to the rooms by climbing the staircase.
However, the hostels need to be rehabilitated with modern facilities, especially the toilet. There is also a very bad smell that spills out of the hostel.
Hence, a sort of industrial cleaning service is highly recommended for hostels.
