Utman O.★★★★★ — This place is the residence of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo situated in his hometown in Ikenne, Ogun state, South-west Nigeria.
His remains and that of his wife; Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo(HID), were buried in a mausoleum directly opposite the museum.
The compound houses the yoruba unity forum sectariat, a museum, mausoleum, his residences, and I think a Library too.
We were unable to take a proper tour of this place and couldn't get access to the museum for some reasons.
The security officials were very welcoming and gave us a brief history of OA.
It's free entry, but we were told that we could only get access if we applied as a group of 10+ people prior to our visit.
The place looks very serene and well-kept.
