I walked into the place and the smoke from a group of people hit my nostrils. So if you are not a smoker, you may want to choose somewhere else to chill.
The attending lady did come to me almost immediately after I sat down and asked to take my order. I asked for nkwobi, semo and ogbono and peppersoup with assorted meat. I added that I came for the nkwobi after reading their reviews online. How long will the order take? She says five minutes with confidence. My eyes widen in amazement. That's wonderful. In my mind, they'd be living up to the expectations of their reviews.
About six minutes later, this lady returns, true to her word only that she came empty-handed. She has come to let me know that nkwobi is not available. Would I manage isiewu? Expectedly, I was disappointed but I said it was okay to bring the isiewu. How long would it take this time? Five minutes she says again. She's sorry it has taken longer than. The five minutes she initially promised. It's because she had to defrost the food. She'll ensure it gets to me in five minute. I informed I am unimpressed by her services and that I have a train to catch. A train I would not be missing because she was not honest about the speed of service delivery.
Men and brethren, I would wait another 35 minutes before I finally got my other. I had to hurriedly tell her to pack the food as I was already late for the train station at this time. She packs it really well. She also had to call another POS operator to dispense cash as the business does not have a POS. Now I find that really sad. I bought a drink and there was no 50 naira change amd there was no real effort to find change. It was a it's-just-50 naira-don't-bother-us vibe. Choice of drinks is also limited for those who don't take alcohol. You are sure to get water though.
The okay part of the food and I say okay because it was just there is the peppersoup, the semo and ogbono was also just there; the isiewu was bitter and unpalatable. Both the ogbono and isiewu was too bitter. I think they were trying to spice it up with bitterleaf but it too much and the outcome was not good altogether.
The two stars on this review is because she didn't keep me waiting after I arrived plus I did get my order and well-packed too. Also the food was cheap so it wasn't a total waste. My order including the takeaway packs cost only 4500 and 100 naira for POS charges.
