You can find it at Jabi Lake Mall and Bangui Street, Wuse 2. What is Gelato? Gelato is a frozen dessert that is quite similar to regular ice cream. It is made with less cream and is churned at a much slower rate than ice cream. It is denser(thicker) than ice cream and packs much more flavour with less calories than ice cream. I like to think of Gelato as ice cream's richer and sophisticated cousin that grew up in Italy. It is noteworthy that Gelato is often served with a flat spoon or spade. So what do I think? My problem with their Gelato is the texture. The Gelato was thick as expected but it was also flaky and crumbly. The waiter explained that it had just been brought from the freezer. The temperature of the freezer was far too cold and ruined the smoothness and somewhat fluid texture expected from premium Italian Gelato. It was rather disappointing. In terms of the flavour, the Gelato packed quite a burst. I had the Cookie and Cheesecake. The Cookie was really sweet and milky. The Cheesecake had this sour but umami flavour which was really delightful. You could taste the freshness of the cheese that it had been made from. Pricing is based on scoops. A scoop of a regular flavour cost 750 while premium is 850 naira. Mine cost 1600 naira. The popsicle cost about 900 naira.
