Chicken Republic is always the brand I go for wherever I find myself, beginning from Lagos, Lokoja and this time it was my first visit to the Makurdi outlet. The lady that served us, one Jennifer has a top notch customer service I haven't seen in any of the several locations I have visited so far. My concern however was about the space. The management should do more in maximizing the space, I believe proper arrangement can produce more tables and seats. I and my people had to hang in a corner for a table to be cleared before we could sit comfortably.

Air-conditioning is top notch to battle the Makurdi heat. Food prices are friendly and freshly made fruit juices are also available. I tried the sugarcane juice and it blew my mind away.

If you intend grabbing a quick bite then you should opt for peppered meat/fish which may be readily available. Any course meal may take up to 30 minutes as its usually freshly prepared to give you the best experience. I've had food at the restaurant nicely and haven't had more than 2 tables full so very airy, had room service bring food to the hotel room in the early hours of the morning still very fresh and I've ordered food to the poolside. The menu remained at full capacity that is nothing wasn't available because it was night, everything could be gotten at whatever time. The restaurant main is located by your left hand side as soon as you drive into the hotel main gate. They take payments by cash or use bank cards on point of sale(POS) terminals. I'd recommend that you have the chicken peppersoup also the freshly made vegetable soup coming with any choice of swallow (local dish).
