Ibukunoluwa A.★★★★★ — my family and i are so impressed with the delightful top-notch experience.
Tomilola T.★★★★★ — Customer service response was super fast (just like in December), the ordering process was seamless, my order was delivered earlier than expected, hot and well packaged (not a single spill of the Ofada oil and pepper soup). Well done to the dispatch rider. Great job, Smokey Jollof Team!
Folu J.★★★★★ — I was only here for one night with a couple of buddies but my stay was pleasant. Good electricity, clean rooms and lovely staff. Only question mark was how the pool looked.
Ewoyenrurhe M.★★★★★ — Beautiful place but I think they can do better in terms of customer care
Joy B.★★★★★ — This comment might be a bit scattered but please hear me out. My noodles cafe used to be my favorite spot to eat and be productive. Unfortunately it’s no longer and this is because of the generator issues. It keeps the customers and staff in the dark, and the heat from preparing meals gets everywhere hot real quick. We know electricity is unstable in this country, the least you can do to make it work is have a stable alternative. The generator available needs to be worked on. People enjoy the dine-in experience, but lately you’re giving them a reason to turn back. Please work on serving us better, thank you.
Also most of these Chowdeck and Glovo riders that come to pick up meals are really disrespectful towards the staff. They come in and raise their voices at the staff, insult them, threaten them and demand respect. They disturb the peace of the cafe and personally I’ve had enough of their insolent behavior. The staff try to handle things but these guys always take it overboard. Please take it up.
I’m sending these because this is becoming the new normal.
Thank you.
esietukeme★★★★★ — I had a good first experience at My Noodles Café Gbagada.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and made sure they got all the necessary information for my order. They also did a good job handling multiple customers in the restaurant.
My only complaint is that I wish the noodles were a little drier on the plate. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the spice level was right.
Striking M.★★★★★ — They have the absolute most dishonest and nonchalant staff ever. They don’t have a drinks menu, so they inflate prices and scam people.
My story:
The Sunday before, I had bought Redbull and I was charged N3,500 which I thought was outrageous, then I called the business line available on google that I wanted to buy RedBull and the person told me it was N2,000. I went back to the bar and asked the lady that served me, she said she was not sure and wanted to ask others, then she came back and said it’s still N3,500. I proceed to the bar stand and asked the bar managers, a guy and a lady and they said it was N2,500. I made a fuzz and told them they were cheating people and the bar managers claimed he was unaware. I told them to stop their ways.
Then the following Thursday I went there again with a friend, we order drinks and it included Redbull again, then another waiter(previous waiter wasn’t around), when the bill came I asked her for the price of RedBull and she also said N3,500. I then told her to wait so I could call the number of the bar, she told me she wanted to quickly attend to a customer, I saw her walk up to the bar manager to say something then she went to the back room and never came out. I then walked up to the manager, and told him about my experience again, he denied recognizing me, however the second lady came out and recognized me and was stunned that I had experienced that again however, they refused to produce the lady that served us and denied knowing her whereabouts and the man even claimed he wasn’t sure of who was serving. They never provided the girl and claimed they didn’t know it was happening and defended her. It’s a racket, it’s a scam place. I have them on video denying their staff and defending the scam. I tried calling the number afterwards, he never picked up. Never again.
Oluwafemi O.★★★★★ — It was kinda empty on a Friday night, though I think the fact it was Ramadan and Lent might have affected that. The waitresses were quite helpful though
Petlonia M.★★★★★ — Hi, I recently ordered 65 packs of jollof rice, but unfortunately, the food didn't meet my expectations. The color seemed artificial, and the taste suggested that color might have been used instead of tomatoes.
Ayomide J.★★★★★ — It's a good restaurant, but I can't exactly say that the staff are very friendly. I've been there lots of times, and it's getting better in my opinion.
Sweet Sensation has been around for YEARS, but they still have their ups and downs. In general, four stars because they're still trying.
Asides from a few times that their rice have caused me stomach issues.
Neusolia V.★★★★★ — Staff was so courteous.
Food was delicious.
Joy A.★★★★★ — 1. Didn't buy food.
2. Very cool place. More for adults get together.
3. You'll need to buy refreshments from them because nothing is allowed from outside.
4. Mainly for a small poolside gathering.
Sakeenah A.★★★★★ — Joy was an absolute lifesaver for my event! I reached out to her at the very last minute, and she still handled everything with incredible professionalism, speed, and grace. Despite the short notice, she even arranged a tasting for us the day before—something I truly appreciated.
The food was delicious and beautifully packaged for our guests. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and you can tell she takes great pride in her work. Joy is a hard worker who takes her catering seriously, and she delivered everything right on time.
I highly, highly recommend her services—you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be using Joy’s catering again for future events!
Gabriel A.★★★★★ — Small chops was great and their jollof rice was awesome.
Tope L.★★★★★ — I stopped by La Branco over the weekend. Overall, it was a good experience but not without a few areas for improvement.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor section felt a bit cramped, like they tried to fit in too much furniture. Depending on your preference, it can feel cozy and intimate, or just packed. I’d say they could do more with the layout to make it comfortable. Music was playing and the game was on TV, but the sound level was moderate — lively, but still good for conversation.
They have a nice cocktail menu. I tried the mojito and the strawberry mojito. Both were tasty, but the alcohol content was light. You can request a stronger mix if you prefer. The mojito was refreshing, while the strawberry mojito had more lime than strawberry — still nice, just not balanced as expected.
I ordered the Cajun pasta. Be warned: it’s very spicy. If you don’t like pepper, skip it. For me, it worked because I enjoy heat. The portion size was generous — enough for one full meal or two if you’re a light eater. It had plenty of veggies and calamari, topped with two medium-sized prawns. Flavor-wise, it was good but not outstanding; I’d rate it a 6.5/10.
Service was friendly and professional. Staff took orders with a smile and stayed attentive. Cocktails took some time to arrive, but their attitude made up for the delay.
The toilets are small cubicle-style (one male, one female), but they were clean.
Parking is available in front, shared with Urban Metro Inn. It’s free but limited (about six cars). I didn’t notice dedicated wheelchair access, though if the main gate is opened, someone in a wheelchair might be able to roll into the outdoor seating area.
Overall La Branco has a cozy vibe, friendly staff, and decent food and cocktails. It’s not perfect — tighter indoor space, cocktails could be stronger, and food not quite at “wow” level or maybe if I tried something else on the meanu i might have a change of opinion — but it’s still a solid spot to hang out.
Karen O★★★★★ — If I could give my review without a star, I honestly would. Please how and in what world does fried eggs, waffle, bacon and sussage for a customer takes almost an hour and there were NO other customer! I didn't want sussage, they could not replace with extra bacon. Ok fine. The bacon came out looking uncooked. The eggs were fried with a dirty pan or griddle as you have black marks from the pans on the eggs. We had to leave it and that's 18k wasted. They initially brought the meal with duck strips and when I said I wasn't paying without bacon they got the bacon out miraculously.
The other meal was egusi and it was decent but too spicy. You could hear the kitchen staff yelling about the complain on the meal and chatting loudly in their native language. The only thing worth the 1 star was the customer service ladies out front.
This is a waste of time and money. Please go and learn what American breakfast is and stop selling poison.
Edit: the charge for the American breakfast was removed. So all is fair. Kitchen staff needs help though
Gloria A.★★★★★ — I rate them a 10/10 because every pastry I got was a hit. From their cakes to their bread and donuts, not a dime wasted!
Uche O.★★★★★ — Had their moist and sponge cake and it was an absolute delight.
MMC bakery is found within Gbagada and their pastries are nice.
Clean environment.
I keep going back whenever I’m around.
taiye O.★★★★★ — Yummy pastries.
Sumptuous cakes with creative designs (I call them work-of-art!). I'm not easy to please when it comes to cakes but Machi has been able to do that seamlessly. I specifically love the red velvets - fluffy and truly velvety!
Satisfying customer service. And how can I forget the awesome zobo drinks. Highly recommended for your cakes, pastries and sides.
Valentine N.★★★★★ — Machi is a nice human being and this shows in the way she handle customers request. Small chops so great, puff puff on point just like I craved it. Zobo is affordable for the quality I got and I didn’t get to purge as some others have left feeling. This should be an every Saturday thingy….make this happen
Tee T.★★★★★ — Shawama was not good.
One of the Shawama guys was seen licking ketchup with his finger(from his mouth into the container) he was corrected but he insisted and continued.
Poor hygiene definitely. I won't buy edibles here again.
Adewale D.★★★★★ — The shawarma ain’t shawarmaring at all 😒
