It’s one of the best places in Lagos to unwind with friends or celebrate something special on the water. The view from the jetty, especially around sunset, is beautiful. Just make sure to book ahead because it gets busy on weekends.

On arrival, no one attended to us and we were left outside on the busy street with our food and drinks. We were given repeated false promises and then no response at all. After many calls and struggle, we got a refund, but no apology or explanation. Very poor and disgusting customer service and coordination. I will never recommend to anyone.

We were then made to wait outside the bar with our food and drinks until the boat returned. When it finally did, there was another group waiting to board who had reportedly been there since 4:00 pm. That group rushed onto the boat, and we were completely ignored despite having a valid reservation.
We requested a refund, but Boatnaija was extremely unresponsive and dismissive. It took us making a scene and insisting that the boat not move before we eventually received our refund.
This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience, and easily the worst customer service I’ve encountered. I would not recommend Boatnaija to anyone who values professionalism, communication, or respect for reservations.

When I reached out to get pricing for November (less than three months from now), I was told “how do you know you and I will be Alive by then? “ When I told them this was unprofessional I was told “that is correct”, they are unprofessional and standing on it!
I agreed to contact them a week before the proposed date, but since this was part of a larger itinerary, I still wanted to get pricing so we could plan. We are actually traveling to Nigeria from out of the country. They did send pricing and occupancy but when I asked for photos of the vessels I was told I should wait till November or “if you can’t be patient get another boat plug”. I can not make this up. I have all the screenshots. I ended up booking with another company who agreed it made sense to book a couple months out because November and December are quite busy.
While I think it’s totally fine for a company to have its own policies in terms of booking, there is no need for the sarcasm and unprofessionalism to a potential customer. This is the case of a company getting too big for their boots and not valuing potential customers likely
because they have a plethora of customers at the moment.
