It is an old market that got caught up in the city. It hasn't changed or improved much. It is famous for livestock and meat products. Poultry birds can be acquired here in large quantities. There are butchers on the standby who can get the birds killed and cut up according to your specifications.
Same obtains for fish and other livestock. Groceries are available here at competitive prices and it's a favourite for many. However, if you drive, you will be required to pay for packing as there isn't enough free packing spaces here. The roads are also narrow and little incidents can get the roads clogged. So you might want to time your shopping at times when there isn't a lot of traffic.
