Joy D.★★★★★ — Unilorin has a beautiful and calm campus with quality education. The lecturers are serious and the academic calendar is usually stable. But some processes like course registration, hostel allocation, and clearance can be stressful and slow. If you’re patient and focused, it’s still a good place to study.
إسماعيل★★★★★ — Alhamdulillah. I've known Amaan for a long time, we schooled together and even lived under the same roof for three years. His fluency in Arabic and his passion for teaching the Qur'an are truly remarkable. Even back then, he had a strong desire to establish an online school.
It is no surprise to see his dedication come to life with the launch of Al Amānah Academy. His video content has always been so educational and insightful. This platform is a wonderful opportunity for learners of all paces to easily access the rich knowledge of Arabic and the Qur'an. May Allah SWT continue to ease your affairs and be your guide, Amaan. May He bless the entire Ummah, especially those who will benefit from your teachings.

Oyin I.★★★★★ — Before coming to this school, I heard a lot of positive things about it—strong discipline, good morals, and a structured learning environment. And to be fair, some of that is true.
The school is generally clean and well organized, and the rules are taken seriously. There is a clear sense of structure, and expectations are high.
However, there are also areas where the experience becomes very difficult for students.
Academically, the workload is heavy. There are many subjects, and some feel like they could be combined or simplified. The pace of learning is fast, and if a student doesn’t understand something quickly, it’s easy to fall behind. In my experience, support for struggling students felt limited, especially in subjects like mathematics where improvement wasn’t always acknowledged.
Socially, my experience was also challenging. At a young age, I went through a situation where a harmless, anonymous note expressing a crush led to misunderstanding and social backlash. After that, I experienced isolation, loss of friendships, and false accusations. It created an environment where I often felt judged rather than understood.
There were also strict expectations around appearance and behaviour, including uniform enforcement and grooming rules. At times, these felt more controlling than supportive, especially when handled without flexibility or understanding of individual circumstances.
In the classroom, there was also a rule where if one student made noise, the entire class would be punished. While the intention may be discipline, in practice it often created frustration and tension among students. Instead of addressing individual behaviour, it sometimes led to unfair consequences for the whole group and made the classroom environment more stressful. And also I was once beaten with a whip and my hand started bleeding.
Overall, the school does have structure and strong values, and it can be a good environment for some students. However, from my experience, there are also real challenges when it comes to student support, emotional understanding, and fairness in handling situations.
