The image you are looking at now is the very spot were Christianity was first preached in Nigeria in the year 1842, under the agia tree in Badagry. Although the tree is no more a monument was erected in memory of the tree. This place holds a great history, if you haven't been…

More history about the slave trade and this place held slaves until they were shipped out. Very happy that the government has preserved some of these historical sights. Place also had a real umbrella that once traded for 40 lives.

It is a historical landmark. Here there was a tree the Agia tree and under this Christianity was born. It is an interesting place to visit while in badagry as it is from here the first church in Nigeria began.

The long standing tree (one of the oldest they say as I recall). Amongst many places of sights and facts and figures to behold at the museum. Been there for ages and has some beliefs attached to it by those who were offsprings/descendants of the slave trade masters in years past.
