Rabia M.★★★★★ — I truly had an amazing time. The food was incredibly delicious and the customer service was outstanding. The atmosphere was lovely and everything exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Emmanuel B.★★★★★ — Serene environment, delicious meals, and exceptional service. The waiting time is a bit long and a bit pricey. But the overall experience was worth it.
Abati M.★★★★★ — I loved every ounce of the food and the service was top notch! I went there with my family and we were served drinks first, then waited for our food.
It took a while but it was worth it.
Idowu M.★★★★★ — had an absolutely wonderful experience at South Kitchen and Lounge! From the moment I walked in, everything about the place stood out — the cozy atmosphere, the neat setup, the delicious food, and the attentive service. It’s one of those places that makes you feel welcome right away.
But what truly made my visit exceptional was Mrs. Modupe, one of the supervisors. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect — from checking on our table with genuine warmth to making sure we were satisfied with every detail. Her professionalism, kindness, and calm energy added such a personal touch to the whole experience. It’s rare to meet someone who takes their job so seriously yet makes it feel so effortless.
Big shout-out to Mrs. Modupe for her outstanding service! She’s truly a gem and a great representation of what excellent customer service should be. Because of her, I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending South Kitchen & Lounge to friends and family.

Sammyloaded C.★★★★★ — The food is very good and nice, plus very good staff and customer experience.
I would recommend to try them out, affordable and reliable.
ObafemiO★★★★★ — Great experience! I had the mutton with naan… It was good and just spicy enough! We also had the turkey appetizer, pounded yam and Efo… All delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful. I can’t wait to brin
ServiceCritic★★★★★ — What I ordered was tasted delicious, restaurant atmosphere was calm, order didn’t take so much time. The waitress lacks a bit of product knowledge, but she was polite and friendly.
Precious A.★★★★★ — My experience here was a solid 10/10! My best friend and I came to eat, and we had absolutely no complaints. The customer service was excellent, and the ambience was just perfect, exactly the calm atm
Joshua★★★★★ — Was looking to get some local food and found this spot. They make the food fresh so it will take 20-30minutes to prepare. Had the Ogbono and it was a 10/10. I for sure will come back here any time vis
Lateef Y.★★★★★ — The food was nice, I enjoyed it. Service needs work. The attendant looked bored and uninterested. I also had to ask 3 people before I could get serviettes. The liquid soap for handwashing ran out and wasn't refilled.
All in all, the food was great, and the ambience was good. I could visit again.
Debbie O.★★★★★ — The Amala is the best I think I've ever had. Even the jollof was another banger! The prices aren't bad and the servers can do better with trainings and retrainings. They need to do much much better with the cleaning and general comfort of the place bcos they have enough space. I spent over 5k and couldn't get serviettes. They should do better but the food was lip smacking good!
Ayeni K.★★★★★ — I enjoyed the food, but the service was a bit slow, so I'll give you 4 stars. The food takes too long to arrive.
Harold O.★★★★★ — Totally awesome place. Very understated from the outside. I drove past it a couple of times because I didn't think that was the location. Alas, when I went in, I was blown away. The ambience, food, an
Nsibiet A.★★★★★ — THE PLACE Eatery in Abeokuta is a familiar name for many Nigerians, especially those who already know the brand from Lagos and other major cities. Located in a fairly accessible part of the city, the
Remi B.★★★★★ — The place is getting more wack each day
No AC and no enough staff to serve while the security team is also useless…. Sitting down while drivers find their way to park
Aanu A.★★★★★ — I came here to update my review. I gave a very good one years ago. This restaurant is not what it used to be.
Serving customers soup of the previous day, scrapping the serving dish. Semo bought too was soft, almost watery.
Pounded yam bought had black spots in it. Did the cooks cut and pound the bad parts of the yam? Wished I took a picture.
The cost of food is very expensive compared to other restaurants. Madojutimi used to be my go-to restaurant when I was still in that area.
And don't get me started on the 7.5% tax. The law says only restaurants with 25 million turnover should shift the tax burden to consumers.
Not coming back here again.
P.S: I didn't take pictures cos I was not planning to post this review. But after thinking about it, this review might help someone out there.
Francisca P.★★★★★ — It’s a nice place to go and eat the food is nice but bear in mind a piece of chicken is 8k which I personally feel is too much for that place cuz how much is full chicken? Aside the price of chicken everything else isn’t bad though. For good portion eat there cuz for some weird reason if u request take away the portions are smaller which can be annoying
Kh4l1f4 O.★★★★★ — Really tasty and filling meal, and the prices were very reasonable. Great value for money and a nice spot to eat, would definitely come back.
Bunmi K★★★★★ — After we had a bad experience from eating the food at Celia's Hotel, I had to go out to get myself a good meal from Olorunwa Kitchen and I was glad I did. It was a sumptuous meal and very satisfying.
Olamide A.★★★★★ — I stopped by 24 Hours Restaurant in Abeokuta and had their amala and soup, honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. It tasted like real home food, rich and comforting. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was too.
The staff were friendly and attended to me very quickly, which made the experience even better. The ambiance was nice and welcoming, perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed stop.
Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to. Highly recommend!
Debbie O.★★★★★ — I was taken there 2ce but couldn't eat. The second time, I managed to walk in and the atmosphere wasn't it. Hot, disorganised and stood there for almost 10mins but none of the servers looked my way nor responded bcos I didn't speak Yoruba. Walked out and was glad I did bcos I wouldn't have found Halaga if I didn't
Olayiwola A.★★★★★ — Imagine selling yesterday's snacks to customers and to worsen it, they can't even microwave it.
Wasted my money this morning🥴🥴
Cool environment tho🤗
ossai M.★★★★★ — Anytime I am in that area I love to hangout here, cool place to be, I would have taken pictures but it never crossed my mind ....next time whenever I go there I will snap pictures, but trust me the place is okay, their snacks and food very good, but how can bottle water be #400 naira I need you people to explain.
