Faith P.★★★★★ — I recently visited Moremi Statue of Liberty and it was a nice experience especially because I got to hear about the story of the Queen and how she saved her people although it had a sad ending.
There was no entrance fee and really no one to guide you or tell you the story except you’re lucky to have a tour guide show up as in my case. It is also a shrine and so some traditional sacrifices seemed to be happening around the place.
I got nice pictures and videos also.
omotayo J.★★★★★ — It's a nice place to visit in Ile-Ife. The sunset from the top of the stair makes for a beautiful photo in the evening.
You can't climb the stairs with a foot wear, you have to climb barefooted.
There's no entrance fee however you have to give token to the men attending the place.
When taking bike to the place, ensure you mention that it's the statue you are going to as there's an estate called Moremi too.
Temi S.★★★★★ — It is located in the center of Ile-ife so to say. Ori olokun as it it called is a symbolic art and means a lot to the people of Ile-ife
Olatunji O.★★★★★ — I was on a short visit to Ile-Ife about four months ago. While on transit to another nearby town, I passed by Ori Olokun Roundabout. Sitting at the centre of the road was an ancient edifice; Ori Olokun. A beautiful statue however, the environment housing this Yoruba artifact was not well trimmed and cultured. I believe it could be better if it is properly maintained.
Adegoke A.★★★★★ — A monumental place for all history student….Well secured area and not far to the palace of Ooni of some ile ife
Daniel D.★★★★★ — Located near the ancient palace of the Ooni of Ife, it is a newly renovated tourist centre aimed at celebrating the heroic deed of a woman of courage whose sacrifice saved the people of Ile-Ife from incessant ravaging of the land. Moremi Ajasoro is a major female hero of Ile-Ife
