When it came to the food, I had a mixed experience. While the Edikaikong soup was not bad, the boiled plantain fell short of my expectations. The plantain was a bit tough, but my date's soup (I can't remember the name now, but see pictures) was excellent and served with pounded yam. 👏🏽
Also, the food took a looooooooong time to arrive. I am talking about over 1 hour here so it may be a good idea to snack before you come so tempers don't run high. 😁
Despite the hiccup with my dish, I had a great overall experience. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between a serene setting and cuisine that captures the essence of its theme.
I plan on returning to Ite Restaurant and will be sure to try a different dish.
