Risto K.★★★★★ — Food was good, it came fast. Service was pleasant. Drinks were good and we could pay with an international card.
The scenery was very nice - a pool with good music.
Temitope A.★★★★★ — I see why they call this place the OG . My experience was a 10/10 primaryly because of the family / kid friendliness. It was pretty easy to locate via Google Maps and we enjoyed every bit of our visit .
I had brunch with my family and the ambience was nice , staff were courteous , it was truly money well spent . my kids had a swel time while my husband and I were eating . They kids play area is definitely an attraction and kept the kids entertained the whole time we were there .
We had rice , taco’s, fruit juice and a strawberry milk shake . Total money spent was around 60,000 naira approximately. They definitely lived up to their hype and I’d definitely visit again .
Kwame N.★★★★★ — Uncle T’s has the best staff, best meals, and a variety to choose from.
There’s more than enough seating; outdoors, terrace, and indoors.

chinwengozi N.★★★★★ — I ordered the ambassador steak and it tasted weird and oddly had a sweet undertone to it. I wish they’d had just used salt and pepper to base it.
Also ordered their evening special drink which tasted not great. Was bitter and tasted a bit like a medicine.
The tea here was 10/10 would come back for the tea and service but definitely not the food
Latifat K.★★★★★ — I loved the food. It was really good, although it came out a little late and wasn’t served as piping hot as you’d expect. The naan bread was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the drinks.
The music selection that day wasn’t great, and it was quite loud, but when we asked them to tune it down, they adjusted it and switched to a better playlist, which improved the ambience.
I went with my friends, and it’s a really nice, cool place to entertain friends or just sit and enjoy a meal together. The staff were very polite, the ambience was good, and overall we had a great experience.

Emmanuel U.★★★★★ — I came late around past midnight and I think maybe the ingredients are not fresh at the time but I had the beef lasagna and the Mexican platter and I couldn’t get anything down… I literally only enjoyed the water, the hot chocolate and one other thing on the platter… Even the chicken wings had a sour taste. The ambience was nice and serene and the staff was kind but the food was zero
James J.★★★★★ — An okay place for group, double or single outings. Also has an outdoor sitting. Music was fair and atmosphere wasnt noisy. Food ordered came at appreciable time and the wait time was fair. The steak I ordered (well done) was nicely prepared and cooked. I ordered for mixed fruit juice but got mixed fruits smoothie. I believe the staff should know the difference. Overall, aside the mixed fruit blunder, it was a nice experience.
Muhammad A.★★★★★ — Best cuisines, good atmosphere and place to relax
Jesse A.★★★★★ — Came on a Sunday evening and found a very relaxed, low key atmosphere. The food was delectable and the portion size was great. I had the mixed grill and highly recommend it. Prices were reasonable. Would gladly return.
Eephie I★★★★★ — Nice dining (indoor and outdoor), with friendly staff. A go to when craving to try out a new food yet, want to feel safe with familiar meal options. Meals and beverages are not pricey - very okay for the cost. The outdoor ambience is totally loveable especially in the early evenings. If you are a picture lover, you would love it here!

Muneerah U.★★★★★ — I like how they've maintained industry standards for long years. New Spots all over town but chopsticks remains relevant in Abuja dinning spheres.
Onyiexplores★★★★★ — Aesthetics could be better & space is a bit too small & no private rooms. Overall great food & service & moderately priced. I enjoyed the prawn sauce. Follow @onyiexplores on IG/Tiktok for more.
Amanda N.★★★★★ — I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and this place is absolutely gorgeous. Everything about the place is beautiful, the service was very good, and the waiters were nice and respectful. Honestly, the food was pretty okay, nothing too crazy. Except for the naan bread, the naan bread was absolutely divine. I would highly recommend anyone to try it if they go there.

Review analysis
Large Chinese restaurant with 14 private suites and panoramic city views.
Jiajia S.★★★★★ — Delicious Chinese and local food, excellent service. Has private rooms and also beautiful view here. I think it's a Good place for party, family dining or business
Anjola A.★★★★★ — Not the best experience. My first jog of Chapman had a roach in it. And it was after I sipped some of it in my glass cup that I spotted the roach on my cup.
But the food and protein was nice. They also were slow to bring out food and even water.
Johan★★★★★ — As an expat in Abuja, I really enjoy coming to Lataverna. It’s always calm and quiet, which makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. The prices are very reasonable too, especially for the quality you get. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots in the city.
Naomi I.★★★★★ — If you like a quiet setting with just you and a few people or you and your partner, then this is a nice place to come to. However, if you are looking for the general Abuja “aesthetics” you won’t find it here. This place gave the vibe of fine dining and or event space.
The starters we got were not bad. Although the bread was a bit stale, it wasn’t bad (I didn’t take a picture). As for the drinks, I did like the Chapman due to too much cucumbers in it but that is a personal preference. The Virgin mojito was basically ice on top and drink in the bottom (wasn’t bad but too much). The Daiquiri was really nice for sure. We also got quesadillas and they were goodddd. I would recommend the beef Quesadillas.
The food was good, very very good. I got the Butter Chicken which came with rice and my friends got Spaghetti Bolognese and the other got pizza. The pizza is what I had a problem with. The pepperoni tasted raw in my opinion. Other than that, it was good.
I would recommend this place to people that are looking for a quiet place and really nice Pasta options.
Natalie K.★★★★★ — We visited Four Guys in Abuja after receiving several recommendations and went specifically for their Chinese menu during our short five-day stay in the city. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
We ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef, but both dishes were completely inedible. The food was overwhelmingly and unpleasantly sweet, drenched in what tasted like nothing more than sugar, food colouring, and cornstarch. The Kung Pao Chicken did not resemble Kung Pao in any way, and the Mongolian Beef was deep-fried and then coated in the exact same overly sweet sauce. Neither dish reflected Chinese cuisine, and both plates had to be left untouched because they were simply impossible to eat.
The flavors were so distinctly different from what we expected that we even remarked that the food tasted Filipino - and to our surprise, when we asked to speak with the manager, he informed us that the chef is indeed Filipino. This explained the flavour profile, but it also highlighted how misleading the menu descriptions are for anyone expecting authentic Chinese food (or even anything remotely close to it).
Despite the poor food experience, the manager handled the situation exceptionally well. He listened carefully to our feedback, apologized sincerely, and offered us complimentary desserts. The tiramisu and chocolate brownie he provided were genuinely excellent and far better than the meal itself.
In summary:
• Chinese menu: Not authentic and inedible.
• Food quality: Overly sweet, incorrectly prepared, and inaccurately labeled.
• Service: Excellent; the manager was professional and accommodating.
• Desserts: Outstanding.
I would strongly advise against visiting Four Guys for Chinese cuisine, as the dishes are not representative of Chinese cooking and were unfortunately not edible. However, the service and desserts were commendable.
Amina Y.★★★★★ — Atmosphere is lovely and we had an exceptional waitress called Benedicta. She was so helpful and eager to assist with everything. This is my best place for sushi. Been multiple times but didn't realise I never left a review. Service is always topnotch but I must say the food portion could be bigger especially for the prices. Other than that, I definitely recommend.
RoninRuna★★★★★ — I do not recommend at all. Been here two hourd and still havent gotten dinner. My husband put in a special order because I am a vegetarian. They only had rice and potatoes to serve me. Again. Over an hour wait for potatoes and rice. Their staff is so disorganized. Put a damper on our Valentines Date. My husband tried so hard to make it a wonderful night and Taj just ruined it. My heart breaks for the effort my husband put into it. Next year we will be in New York. Spending our time and money on top tier places.
Precious G.★★★★★ — The Burgundy by Chef Stone offers an unimaginable dining experience. The food was perfectly made, full of rich flavors and creativity, The service was exceptional, the staff were friendly and made sure everything was just right. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch culinary experience👍
There was also a very lovely live band that sounded so good .Like wow the entire thing from start to finish was a beautiful experience.
Francis R.★★★★★ — Nice beautiful ambience to dine. Good library collection as well and rustic furnishing. So funny men’s bathroom blow and ladies above. The coffee is good.
Afeez D.★★★★★ — Café De Vie is a cozy and well-styled spot in Abuja that delivers a pleasant dining experience. Their chicken wrap is the real standout, fresh, flavourful, and genuinely satisfying. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it perfect for a casual meal or a quick stop during the day. Overall, a nice café with good food and a welcoming vibe.
Anthony F.★★★★★ — Nice and courteous staff but housekeeping is very poor. I couldn't stay another night and had to check out to another hotel. Wouldn't have stayed there if I didn't arrive late and tired.
Emma★★★★★ — I want to be very honest. We were genuinely looking forward to visiting this place as our first restaurant of 2026. The ambiance is wonderful, and I can easily believe it must have been a very good restaurant five years ago, based on the positive reviews we had read. The setting is attractive—with a cool rooftop, pleasant open‑air space, and private rooms that seem perfect for fine dining with friends and loved ones.
Unfortunately, the dining experience was deeply disappointing.
We waited more than one hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was terrible. The tom yam kung was just a thin, spicy tomato soup with generic frozen seafood. The so‑called Japanese cucumber salad had absolutely nothing Japanese about it—it should honestly be called Abuja cucumber salad. The satay, which should come with peanut sauce, was served with mayonnaise and ketchup. The “teriyaki beef” bore no relation to teriyaki in either flavor or preparation. The sushi was, regrettably, the worst of all—it tasted like a cheap paint.
When my friend asked the waitress what the restaurant’s specialty was, the answer was: “Everything.” That alone explained the problem. A restaurant that does everything well is rare; a restaurant that specializes in nothing usually does nothing well.
I would like to offer some constructive advice. Please focus on what you are genuinely good at. If you can prepare excellent Nigerian food—pepper soup, simple grilled dishes, or even just well‑made french fries—serve them with ice‑cold beer and drink. You already have a great atmosphere, and with skilled DJ you can hire, this place could easily be packed every weekend as a bar or lounge.
However, expanding the menu to include exotic international cuisines comes with responsibility—the responsibility to do them properly. At this moment, that responsibility is not being met at all. Given the prices charged, we expected a well‑prepared, satisfying meal. What we experienced was interesting, but far from acceptable.
We will not be returning, nor will we recommend this restaurant to our friends. One final piece of advice to future guests: do not order the sushi.
