• Michael U. ★★★★★ — The Madonna Renewal Centre is a retreat facility operated by the Immaculate Heart Sisters in Nkpor Anambra State, Nigeria. I spent 4 days at this facility attending a conference and it was a very interesting time. The sisters are very nice and polite people. The services were awesome. Now it is important that I explain that this is not a hotel and so is quite quiet. It is a very old facility that could have been built in the 70s or 80s so if you have a liking for old type accomodations, then you will like it here. The building is very large and easily has hundreds of rooms. It's so big, you'll need help getting around the first few days. The parking space is very large making here ideal for hosting events. There are several halls of various sizes which is also good for anyone hoping to host an event. There's also a sports facility but good luck finding anyone to play with. Remember it's a retreat centre so the guests might want to get some peace and quiet. Characteristic of retreat centres run by nuns, the rooms are small with a small bed, enough for one person, a table and a chair. There's also a bathroom and toilet. Everything is basic. Electricity supply is not the best but water supply is good. About security, this place is very secure. It is located in the heart of a large facility owned by the Nuns, so for someone looking to detox from city life and stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, this would be a good place. It's easily a place to go to and disappear for a while. Now let's talk food. The Nuns make the best meals with options for everyone irrespective of your preferences. All for an affordable price. It's a place I'd like to go back to.
