- Emeka I. ★★★★★ — This place is by far the worst hotel I have ever used in my life. I had the most physically and mentally stresing stay here😩. The nice looking building towering from afar attracts and gets you into an equally nice looking compound where you are greeted with a led-lighted inscription - "The Future Is Here" stamped into the front of the building. Personally, that is where the nicety of this place ends. The first scam is the receptionist telling me they don't show guests their rooms, rather they pull pictures from a screen above probably taken a long time ago which does a very good job in hiding the deteriorating facilities in the rooms. I went ahead with this because I was used to high end hotels not showing guests the physical rooms but they are sure to maintain the standards displayed. I checked into the room and the first sight that greeted me was that of a rag sitting on the mattress in place of a towel😩😩. I was too tired from my journey at that point to go back to the front desk to complain, because there was no guest service directory in the room to guide guests on the intercom extensions, so I ended up using my own towel. Television was too loud and the remote refused to work, and I had to just turn it off manually. Next morning, I wanted to make a particular tea I do take but couldn't find a tea cup or spoon, only an electric kettle. I went down to the front desk, was referred to the restaurant and the restaurant guy said I had to speak to the manager first🤦🏽♂️. I didn't want to start taking it out on a staff who was obviously acting on orders, so I waited for the Manager (a man probably in his 50s) who came down already sweating from attending to other guests' complaints and more waiting for him at reception. I had to ask and hear from him why there was no teacup and spoon in my room, and to my astonishment this man said they don't give guests teacups because they sell tea in the restaurant. That was like the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard a hotel manager say, and at that point I lost it. I nearly created a scene before he said they can make an exception for me and asked the restaurant guy to give me one. Later at noon, the lights in my room started flickering and eventually went off. I checked and noticed that the whole wing was out of power so I rang reception and they said they will send a technician. The technician came like an hour later and left, never to be seen again. While stepping out at around 4pm after spending more than 4hrs without power, I requested for a room change if they can't rectify the power issue. To my astonishment when I returned around 7pm, there was still no power. I just packed my stuff to check out and was already at the gate before the manager came to beg that I come back. Yes, they were concerned because I refused to pay for that day's stay since the light went off at noon. They had to change me to another room after mentally draining me and wasting my whole day unproductive. If you know you want to experience the most unorganized, chaotic, and unprofessional staffing a hotel has to offer where you have to raise your voice before you get the most basic amenities, please book a room with them and you won't be disappointed. Cheers! PS I didn't mention that my car bumper was cracked overnight and even the security couldn't account for what happened.
- yvonne B. ★★★★★ — If there is any star less than 1, I will gladly rate this brand. They have the poorest services in the whole wild world. The customer service personnel are rude and highly incompetent. I recommend the management or CEO retrain all their staff else they are positioning themselves for a collapse of the brand in no time. The poor service rendered is gradually ruining the beautiful structure and aesthetics.
