Deborah D.★★★★★ — Called and emailed for months trying to understand why the E-consulate for booking visa was never open, and they didn’t answer for over 3 months.
When they finally answered they told me it would open at 9:30, what they failed to tell me was it opened at 9 not 9:30; and as it is the only polish embassy in west Africa, every west African trying to book a date goes through there.
So by the time it was 9:30 Aka the time they told me, all dates were booked. I emailed and called again and they didn’t reply. At that point I went physically to the embassy, just for someone there to tell me not only was the number on the website incorrect (the correct one can only be phone on the gate if the embassy) ,the correct number is always switched off so there was no point calling them in general.
Not only that they only open the consulate on the last Monday of every month, meaning even if you try at 9 you might not get a date, and if you miss it there’s nothing you can do, and to make it worse they have a very small number of appointment dates given to Nigeria; so there are less dates but more people looking for appointments than other countries
Horrible customer service, bad organisation, and bad planning. If you can book from abroad, don’t come here

Consular staff I met at Abuja were quite hospitable and I was even served a very sugary tea! The service was sluggish and I had to ask a friend to pick up my passport and visa so I could catch my return flight back to Lagos.
