- Samuel A. ★★★★★ — Last week, while travelling from Oyo to Lagos, I used the Ojo Bus Terminal, and overall, it was a commendable experience with room for improvement. First, the terminal itself is impressive. The building is beautiful, modern, and well laid out, giving a positive first impression to commuters and visitors. The entire area is supported by well-tarred roads, which makes movement within and around the terminal smooth and stress-free. The environment is also very spacious, reducing congestion and allowing passengers to move comfortably, even during busy periods. Additionally, the visible presence of government officials adds a sense of order, security, and accountability, which is reassuring for travelers. That said, there are areas that still require attention to enhance the overall experience. Vehicle arrangements are not well coordinated, which sometimes leads to confusion and unnecessary delays. The drive-in and drive-out system also needs better organization to ensure smoother traffic flow within the terminal. Furthermore, some business operators need to be more disciplined in maintaining their allocated spaces, as encroachment affects orderliness. Improper parking of vehicles is another issue, as it contributes to congestion and makes navigation difficult at certain points. Lastly, transport fares, especially the fare to Lagos (Berger), should be reviewed. A charge of ₦4,200 feels quite high and may be discouraging for regular commuters. Overall, Ojo Bus Terminal is a promising transport hub with solid infrastructure. With improved coordination, better space management, and a review of transport fares, it can deliver an even better experience for all users.
