Ruby O.★★★★★ — Beautiful place to eat on a budget. Meals were really good. I went with a very picky eater and for the person to say their food was good, it hit the right spots.
Would definitely be going back.
kakam N.★★★★★ — Amala Central is one of a kind eatery in Abuja. Located in a hidden corner in the Central Business Area of Abuja. Independence Ave is an off street which is not usually a thoroughfare. U must've a business in that area to be there or know it. The best description or direction is that it shares fence with Reiz Continental Hotel. The location which is like an upscale Abuja Park has several eateries, a car wash & a car lot. Amala Eatery stands out. It is a small place compared to other Abuja amala joints. But it is way ahead in organization & sound administration. Enough hands everywhere, limited queuing & waiting time, then see varieties of local Nigerian & continental delicacies with assorted proteins. The amala that I bought was so hot that I had to ask for a spoon to eat it, which is quite against convenient wisdom of devouring amala. The food was steaming, fresh & tasty. Though, not too big a place compared to mega amala joints in town, but the place was sparkling clean. Serviettes & toothpicks were in excess & scattered all over the place unlike what obtains in similar establishments. Clean wash hand basins were plenty with furiously runing water & canisters of liquid soap. Enlarged photos of prominent Nigerian traditional rulers were prominently displayed on the walls. The Sultan of Sokoto, Obi of Onistha, Ooni of Ife, Etsu Nupe..... u name them. Reminds one of home now matter where home is to one ! Clean convenience located not too far away. But...but something could be done about saucing their assoeted proteins. Not a Perfect World, but this is definitely a good experience
Bee-Bee I.★★★★★ — This is my first time visiting Today’s Bukka and I can categorically say that I really enjoyed my food. I ordered Amala, Ewedu, Titus fish and goat meat. It was too DELISH that I ordered for another plate. The ambience is nice, the space is very CLEAN and our server Emmanuel went above and beyond! Emmanuel truly deserves employee of the year. Also, the beautiful lady with the all back braids taught us how to play Ayo. She was so sweet and has a charming smile. I’ll visit again soonest.
Joseph P.★★★★★ — Very nice place to visit with karaoke 🎤 but things are a bit expensive. Imagine a ram suya sold at 1,650 per stick and thie meat can not even fill your mouth. The 3 stick meat you see on the photos is sold at N4,950.00
RoninRuna★★★★★ — I do not recommend at all. Been here two hourd and still havent gotten dinner. My husband put in a special order because I am a vegetarian. They only had rice and potatoes to serve me. Again. Over an hour wait for potatoes and rice. Their staff is so disorganized. Put a damper on our Valentines Date. My husband tried so hard to make it a wonderful night and Taj just ruined it. My heart breaks for the effort my husband put into it. Next year we will be in New York. Spending our time and money on top tier places.
Onyiexplores★★★★★ — Design: Nothing special about the design besides the TAJ sign at the entrance.
Food & Drinks: Theirs a ton of options that’s it’s so overwhelming, but the chicken drumsticks were great. The chicken burger I ordered could have been better, it was average for me. The mulberry daiquiri was nice and it was my first time trying it, quite unique.
Hygiene/Cleanliness: I’m pleased with the hygiene of the area & the tables were frequently cleaned after each customer left. My only concern was the lack of face masks being worn by staff. I just hope they are fully vaccinated to help stop or avoid any deadly diseases like COVID-19.
Service: I’m pleasantly surprised by the service, even though it seemed like they were understaffed, the waitress tried her best and was polite and helpful when it came to explaining the various food(s) on the menu and serving. One complaint I had was the faulty A.C’s it was kinda hot in there, please get this fixed ASAP.
Family/Date Friendly: Taj is a cool spot for family hangouts preferably earlier in the day. It’s also good for birthday celebrations and dates. I wouldn’t recommend for business meetings.
Price: Food and drinks are a bit pricey but you get a good portion, so it was worth it.

Owoade D.★★★★★ — The food is so good. These people finish my money on a weekly base, their ewa agoyin, white rice and sauce, ofada rice are usually my go to meals. Oh did I forget bread and Akara? Uhn the party jollof too is so good. I love love love eating their meals. 11/10 for me
Fatima A.★★★★★ — I initially had a bad experience — the meat was just skin, the jollof rice was overpowering, and the plantain was too hard. However, the restaurant reached out and sent a full replacement meal for free. This time, everything was perfect! The meat was real, the plantain was soft, and the jollof rice tasted great. I really appreciate their excellent customer service and look forward to ordering from them again. Highly recommended!
Favour E.★★★★★ — Ambience and service was nice but the food was mid
