Joy B.★★★★★ — This comment might be a bit scattered but please hear me out. My noodles cafe used to be my favorite spot to eat and be productive. Unfortunately it’s no longer and this is because of the generator issues. It keeps the customers and staff in the dark, and the heat from preparing meals gets everywhere hot real quick. We know electricity is unstable in this country, the least you can do to make it work is have a stable alternative. The generator available needs to be worked on. People enjoy the dine-in experience, but lately you’re giving them a reason to turn back. Please work on serving us better, thank you.
Also most of these Chowdeck and Glovo riders that come to pick up meals are really disrespectful towards the staff. They come in and raise their voices at the staff, insult them, threaten them and demand respect. They disturb the peace of the cafe and personally I’ve had enough of their insolent behavior. The staff try to handle things but these guys always take it overboard. Please take it up.
I’m sending these because this is becoming the new normal.
Thank you.
esietukeme★★★★★ — I had a good first experience at My Noodles Café Gbagada.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and made sure they got all the necessary information for my order. They also did a good job handling multiple customers in the restaurant.
My only complaint is that I wish the noodles were a little drier on the plate. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the spice level was right.
Tope L.★★★★★ — I stopped by La Branco over the weekend. Overall, it was a good experience but not without a few areas for improvement.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor section felt a bit cramped, like they tried to fit in too much furniture. Depending on your preference, it can feel cozy and intimate, or just packed. I’d say they could do more with the layout to make it comfortable. Music was playing and the game was on TV, but the sound level was moderate — lively, but still good for conversation.
They have a nice cocktail menu. I tried the mojito and the strawberry mojito. Both were tasty, but the alcohol content was light. You can request a stronger mix if you prefer. The mojito was refreshing, while the strawberry mojito had more lime than strawberry — still nice, just not balanced as expected.
I ordered the Cajun pasta. Be warned: it’s very spicy. If you don’t like pepper, skip it. For me, it worked because I enjoy heat. The portion size was generous — enough for one full meal or two if you’re a light eater. It had plenty of veggies and calamari, topped with two medium-sized prawns. Flavor-wise, it was good but not outstanding; I’d rate it a 6.5/10.
Service was friendly and professional. Staff took orders with a smile and stayed attentive. Cocktails took some time to arrive, but their attitude made up for the delay.
The toilets are small cubicle-style (one male, one female), but they were clean.
Parking is available in front, shared with Urban Metro Inn. It’s free but limited (about six cars). I didn’t notice dedicated wheelchair access, though if the main gate is opened, someone in a wheelchair might be able to roll into the outdoor seating area.
Overall La Branco has a cozy vibe, friendly staff, and decent food and cocktails. It’s not perfect — tighter indoor space, cocktails could be stronger, and food not quite at “wow” level or maybe if I tried something else on the meanu i might have a change of opinion — but it’s still a solid spot to hang out.
Karen O★★★★★ — If I could give my review without a star, I honestly would. Please how and in what world does fried eggs, waffle, bacon and sussage for a customer takes almost an hour and there were NO other customer! I didn't want sussage, they could not replace with extra bacon. Ok fine. The bacon came out looking uncooked. The eggs were fried with a dirty pan or griddle as you have black marks from the pans on the eggs. We had to leave it and that's 18k wasted. They initially brought the meal with duck strips and when I said I wasn't paying without bacon they got the bacon out miraculously.
The other meal was egusi and it was decent but too spicy. You could hear the kitchen staff yelling about the complain on the meal and chatting loudly in their native language. The only thing worth the 1 star was the customer service ladies out front.
This is a waste of time and money. Please go and learn what American breakfast is and stop selling poison.
Edit: the charge for the American breakfast was removed. So all is fair. Kitchen staff needs help though
Emmanuel O.★★★★★ — The nkwobi is really really nice. Always a place to unwind with cold drinks.
Frank D.★★★★★ — Great place to be at any day of week; it has always had an *EverGreen* vibe.
Turkey pepper-soup, cow tail pepper-soup, Nkwobi etc, with variety of drinks always available.
