agughara C.★★★★★ — Using this hospital turn out to be a nightmare for me and my wife. My wife went to deliver in this hospital and was charged #150,000 as part payment deposit. I made the transfer on 21/09/2021 using my Access bank account to the hospital First Bank account which was successful.
We presented the receipt as proof of payment but the MD claimed that he has not seen the money because he didn’t get an alert. It happens, I understand.
I called my bank to make a complaint about the transfer and I was informed that the money was sent to the recipient account, but after complaining for days that the MD is adamant that he has not seen the money and he has refused to call his bank to confirm the deposit.
My bank has to write to First Bank requesting for details regarding the transfer, the feed from First bank was that the money was deposited successfully and the recipient has even gone ahead to withdraw the said money.
I provided the MD with the transfer Session ID as a proof and ask him to call his bank for confirmation but he refused and insist that I have not made any transfer to him.
Today 28/09/2021 my wife was to be discharge but the MD refused and held her hostage pending when we send another #150,000 to him before she will be allowed to leave.
I made the transfer on the 21/09/2021, but up till today 28/09/2021 the hospital MD has refused to call his bank claiming that I did not make any transfer to him.
He has caused great grief and embarrassment to my family and great distress to my new born baby.
After embarrassing my family for days now and refusing to let her leave the hospital, he reluctantly call his bank and it was confirm that I made the transfer since the 21st.
Please be careful when using the hospital, I won’t wish what we passed through as a family in this hospital to anyone.
The MD been a learned man should have saved us this great embarrassment by calling his bank/account officer to resolve this issue but he refused, an issue that won’t take 5 minute or cost him 100 naira call credit but he choose to embarrass before the whole hospital and also detain her from leaving the hospital.
I am in pains and tears writing this.
